How is replacement tooling specified?
Replacement tooling is specified by four measurements, not by the machine badge. The brand and model narrow the search; the measurements confirm it.
- Measure the tang width across its widest point.
- Measure the punch overall height from the shoulder to the tip.
- Look for locking pin holes or a retention groove, which indicate a safety tang.
- Measure the die body width and photograph the clamp with a ruler in shot.
